Awarded the "2006 Small Hotel of the Year" by the Belize Tourism Board, Hotel de la Fuente is one of the best-kept secrets in the Orange Walk District. This newly-constructed, twelve-room hotel offers travelers an excellent value for their money. There are rooms to fit every budget--from the back packer to the business executive.

Every room is furnished with a coffee maker and complimentary coffee, DSL internet, and a computer desk. The owner designed and built the rooms himself with a vision to "offer the guests more than a bed with a fluorescent light." The rooms are tastefully lit and designed with a contemporary theme, but really cozy. The hotel is surrounded by a large veranda. Hotel de la Fuente also offers two junior suites for nightly or weekly rental. These units offer a separate bedroom and a fully furnished kitchen/living room with a breakfast bar.

The front desk books daily tours to Lamanai with a local tour operator that offers tours that are smaller in size and more personalized.

Hotel de la Fuente is located one block east of Novelos Bus Terminal on the Northern Highway through downtown Orange Walk. Look for the sign next to Courts on the boulevard, go east one block to Main Street and turn left. The property is located on the right just two buildings before the Banquitos House of Culture and the bridge to San Estevan and Progresso. Restaurants (including Luigi's & Sugar N' Cream Internet Cafe, La Popular Bakery), shops, a pharmacy and banks are all within a few blocks of the hotel.
