Hotel Description
Tom?s is one of the most well-known, established budget hotels on the
island. There are five private cabanas and additional rooms in a large
two-story building. The rooms with one to three beds have private and
shared bathrooms all with hot water. The hotel is dependably clean and
adequately furnished. Guests can enjoy a private pier, roof top deck and
large verandas facing the sea. While the hotel is one of the largest
ones on the island, it still has the personal touch of being a family-run
hotel. The quiet, relaxing atmosphere is why many guests call it a home
away from home.
History & Owners
Tom and Zeida and their daughters are warm, friendly and love having
people around. Years ago, since they lived on the island, their friends
always wanted to visit and so they built some little houses for their
friends. These friends always said, ?Let?s go to Tom?s?, and when they
decided to make the little houses into a hotel in 1980, they kept the
name. Tom is a fisherman and still makes lobster traps right on the
hotel property. Interestingly enough, he also loves doing the laundry!
They were both born on Caye Caulker and when Zeida was young she always
wanted to leave the island, but she met Tom, had a family and made her
life here. They are both active in their church and Tom is a Justice of
the Peace.

Tom?s Hotel is located 4 blocks south of the front dock. To get there, exit the dock and follow the beach path to the left for about 10 minutes. You can?t miss the large white building. From the airstrip, take the main road north. At the primary school and Catholic Church, turn right and walk to the sea. From there, follow the beach path north ? block and you will see Tom?s Hotel.
