1/2 lb dry smally red beans 1/2 onion 1 tsp black pepper 1/2 green pepper 1 tb shortening 1 lb rice salt 1 can of coconut milk |
Boil beans until they are soft. Add onion, black pepper, salt to taste, green pepper and shortening. Cover and turn down to low.
To cook rice, add salt, coconut milk, water and rice. Lower the stove until water goes down. Stir it one time, cover and cook again until all the water has boiled down. |
| Serve the rice and beans together.
