History & Owners St. Christopher is the patron saint of travelers, according to Mr. Hector
Urbina, the owner of the hotel. He built the hotel himself from 1988
until 1996 after he retired from a cooperative chicken business with some
Mennonites. Mr. Urbina?s grandfather came from Honduras and had 14
children, making the Urbina family one of the largest families in Orange
Walk today. In addition to helping run the hotel with his family, Mr.
Urbina enjoys tarpon fishing in the New River and is active in the
community. The Urbinas provide good, friendly service and provide great
information about local events and activities.
