private bathrooms. Everything is meticulously clean and well kept.
Sandy Lane also has an outdoor BBQ area that becomes an inviting hang out
area as guests cook up a meal.
History & Owners Rico is a retired boat mechanic and Elma continues teaching at the school
where she has taught three generations of islanders over the last 40
years! They opened the guest house in 1990 and named it after the yard
which is sandy and clean. Both Elma and Rico are actively involved in the
life of the island through their church. Elma is well-known for taking
care of people and mothering them. They are both full of stories and
know the history of the island through their personal experiences.
