Primitas Bed & Breakfast
Ringtail Village, Cayo District
Hotel Description
Staying with the Scott family on their farm is an unforgettable experience of true Belizean-Creole hospitality. The rooms for guests are separate and downstairs from the Scott family but guests are welcome to join the family upstairs for lively conversation and good food. The property is on an organic farm and there are lots of medicinal plants found right in the yard. There is easy access to Blue Hole National Park and the bus.
History & Owners The Scott family is a remarkable family. Patrick, Sr. and Manuela are well-educated and involved in the community. Patrick has been in agriculture for years and helped start the organic citrus industry of Belize along with a host of other things. Manuela has been a teacher for numerous years. Together, they have three grown children who have their own successful careers. Patrick's brother, "Cooks", also lives at the farm and can provide just about any herbal remedy needed with his knowledge of medicinal plants. They decided to open the bed and breakfast when Blue Hole was getting increasingly popular with tourists, students, and interns and they needed a place to stay in the area.
