History & Owners Mr. Augustine Flores and his family decided to open the guest house in
1988. Since then, they have been welcoming travelers to the culture
capital of Belize-Dangriga-and treating them like family. Mr. Flores
might look like he?s going to fall asleep any minute with his sleepy eyes
and soft voice, but be assured, he is alert and full of stories and
wisdom! As a retired school teacher, he still stays busy with the hotel,
his farm, and in various organizations. He is the founder of CABO
(Central American Black Organization) and remains active in the National
Garifuna Council (NGC). These two organizations seek to raise awareness
of politics, rights and land claims of the Garifuna people. He is a
storehouse of knowledge, wisdom and opinions!
