Omar's Guest House
Placencia
Hotel Description
One of the things that makes Omar?s more than a standard budget guest
house is the personal and friendly service that guests receive when they
stay here. The location near the beach, the convenience of an on-site
restaurant and sizeable verandas for hanging out add to the appeal. The
rooms are simple but clean with both shared and private bathrooms with
hot water available. The owners are most proud of their food and the
number of repeat customers that they have.
History & Owners Twelve years ago the Sierras opened a restaurant and in 2002, after
Hurricane Iris, they added a guest house. Both are named after the
Sierra?s son, Omar. Mrs. Sierra has been a leader in the community
through the Placencia Women?s Group. Their children are young artists
and have painted murals inside of the restaurant and sometimes sell their
small paintings.
