History & Owners After operating the popular beachside restaurant, "Butchie's Bar and Grill" since the mid-1990's, Mr. "Butchie" Ramirez decided to open the hotel and move the restaurant into the hotel. The building, originally a hotel during the 1950's and 60's, was built with walls 20 inches thick to withstand the hurricanes! The hotel and restaurant are both family owned and operated.
