Hotel Description
The Hotel Hello and Caf? is well-marked and easy to spot with the yellow
smiley faces painted outside of the building. The rooms are kept clean
and nicely furnished with matching linens, artwork and fully-tiled
bathrooms. Some rooms are carpeted (a rare find in Belize!) and all
rooms are non-smoking. There are both deluxe rooms and lower-priced
rooms available. The Caf? Hello is right on the property serving up
delicious Belizean food in a pleasant atmosphere. A gift shop with local
handicrafts, t-shirts and a few books is also on site. The owner and
staff are proud of the excellent customer service that they offer to
their guests 24 hours a day.
History & Owners
The owner of the hotel, Mrs. Elizabeth Zabaneh, got the name for the
hotel from a movie that she saw where there was a hotel by the same name.
The extended Zabaneh family is large and many of them have started very
successful businesses in the area. The hotel and caf? are two more
examples of the family investing and building the community. Just across
from the hotel is a new nightclub and bar also owned by Mrs. Zabaneh.

Location & Directions
Turn off of the Southern Highway towards Independence Village, which will be on the left as you are going towards Big Creek. Turn left at the main entrance to the village. Shortly after the entrance, there is a fork in the road where you can go left or right and a triangle shaped park is in the middle. Stay to the left. Hotel Hello and Caf? is located just past the park. Look for it on the left side of the road.
