History & Owners Hok'ol K'in is a Maya Yucateca phrase meaning "the coming of the rising sun". We have a spectacular view of the sunrise every morning. Marty Conway left the Peace Corps in 1996 to build and run Hok'ol K'in with the idea that Corozal needed a place where people could feel the presence of the local Maya. Our most popular tour has been a cultural immersion trip where guests can go to school and home with the local Maya people.
