The Colibr? House is located on our private beach front, surrounded by
coconut trees, tropical flowers, plants and orchids. An octagonal open
space bungalow with windows on all sides, the Colibr? House accomodates
three people, in one large double bed and a single divan bed. The
apartment is fully furnished, with unique touches such as handmade
hardwood furniture. Amenities include hot and cold water, stove,
cookware, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, toaster, radio
and fans. We also provide blankets, sheets and towels on request. You
will enjoy relaxing in a hammock on our spacious verandah just steps away
from the sea. Our home is located in a peaceful area of the village near
the Placencia sidewalk. The Rough Guide calls this the, "best-value
rental apartment in the village." At the Colibr? House, experience
"European living at a reasonable price."
History & Owners
Nicoletta and Stefano moved from Milano, Italy in 2001 to make Placencia
their new home. The property was named Colibri, which means
"hummingbird" in Italian. They are a delightful couple who go out of
their way to make guests feel comfortable and at home. Their
adventuresome spirit and their willingness to learn new things is
evidenced in many of the aspects of the property- from handmade furniture
to handpainted signs.
