Hotel Description
This locally-owned, downtown accommodation welcomes guests into a central
courtyard area of tropical plants and flowers that gives the Inn a lush
and tropical feeling. The rooms are spacious with colorful linens,
locally-made hardwood furniture, fully-tiled bathrooms, cable TV,
air-conditioning and hot water. There is also a "honeymoon room"
featuring a king size bed and mahogany wardrobe. The Inn is located just
one block from the sea and two blocks from the center of town. There is a
large veranda facing the sea along with other outside sitting areas on
the premises. The warm hospitality of the owners, along with clean and
safe rooms keeps guests returning to stay every time they are in Punta
Gorda Town.
History & Owners
Duane Wagner, Sr. followed his father's example and opened this hotel in
1991 with 5 rooms and has since expanded to 20 rooms. The hotel is named
after Duane's middle name, Charlton, which was after the actor Charlton
Heston. Duane and Miladi stay busy with their children and family as
well as helping to run the cable TV company and wholesale grocery store.
They are proud to be able to serve their guests with genuine Belize
hospitality.

From the Texaco Station at the entrance to town, bear right. Go one block to the next corner, Charlton' s Inn is on the right at the corner of North and Main Streets (on the northwest corner of the street).
