when they stay at the Hillside Bed & Breakfast. A large veranda and

cabanas with their own verandas are also available. There are cooking
facilities in the cabanas and in the guest house, although guests will
not want to miss the full, Mennonite-style breakfast that is also
available!
History & Owners Appropriately named for the location on a hillside, guests can enjoy
spectacular views of the valley and the warmth of Mennonite hospitality.
Blue Creek Mennonites are known for being progressive, meaning they have
electricity, vehicles and use modern technology. John and Judy Kl assen
decided to open the hotel in the year 2000 because many people came to
the community but there was no hotel available. They are active in the
community through their church and they also stay busy with their family
of 10 grown children and many grandchildren. In addition to the hotel,
they have a cattle ranch and guests can accompany John on a cattle
round-up and help Judy to milk the cows!
