Stann Creek District

Known as the “culture capital” of Belize, Stann Creek, the second largest district, offers numerous adventure, educational and cultural activities to embark on. The district is tucked between the rainforest and the Caribbean coastline. Both compliment the friendly and peaceful feeling that emanates as one enters this adventurers haven.

Small towns and fishing villages line the coast and they are more than willing to share the cultural and natural treasures of their settlements. Several cayes also border the Belize Barrier Reef and offer many opportunities for marine exploration. If you venture a few miles inland, you will be presented with a wealth of tropical forests, the world’s first jaguar preserve, many Maya villages and a huge portion of the Maya Mountains including Victoria Peak.

While in the Stann Creek District, hop on to the adventure trail and discover the people, rainforest, history and natural resources that make this district an explorer paradise.
