Bfree is a research and education facility located in the pristine wilderness of southern Belize along the beautiful Bladen River offering true jungle adventure. Bfree specializes in the accommodation of researchers and student groups and welcomes visitors interested in conservation, sustainable living and the study and appreciation of tropical rain forests. Comfortable base camp facilities are offered including a bunkhouse and thatched palapas for camping and a staffed kitchen offering three meals daily. The field station is environmentally sensitive using solar electricity and organic foods. Educational Programs can be tailored to meet specific requirements.

Location & Directions Mile 59 Southern Highway, Bladen The field station and reserve is located 6 miles off the highway which can be accessed by walking or private vehicle. Private vehicles need to have high clearance and 4 wheel drive is recommended. If you don't have your own transportation, the field station can arrange for a pickup.
